Most commonly, we use our locator system to control inventory throughout our facilities. More than half of our present customers require us to track their inventory by lot, serial, production date or batch control number. We have even gone a step further to ensure accurate inventory levels by using a combination of more than one of these numbers to control stock.

Many of our customers at Howell have unique business requirements. We can customize our reports and work processes to suit your specific needs. Some customers have us keep track of their inventory with weekly or monthly inventory reports, while others receive daily electronic up-dates via EDI or e-mail. Our system supports LIFO / FIFO and expiratory dates (production dates), which ensures that the specific product gets to the stores or plant floor when it is needed.

Cycle counting is a policy that Howell promotes to maintain control of your product. We do this on a regular basis without interfering in the shipping and receiving process. Regular physical inventory counts are done at the customer's request. We do a full first and second count to be completely error free.
